"I really don't. Be yourself and know your qualifications well."

"The parent company was strangling. Very few tools were provided to us as well as support regarding upgrades and new business ventures."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus on the details. It would seem that they are way too focused on the bottom line and not how they get there."

"I like solving business problems with a lean approach so that the end user is satisfied with the out come. The company has good benefits overall."

"Be honest with yourself and the people that you are interviewing. If you do not know how to do something say that. Don't dance around the answer."

"The culture of what IT is to the business is not recognized from the top level of management down."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would ask every person to understand who their customer is. I would have the CIO report to the president of the company."

"The upper management and mid management need to work on communication with their team members. While I understand that the team doesn't need to know everything. It is easier for the team members to understand what part of the strategic plans are we responsible for. As team members; and rightfully so, we are asked to do our best job in an environment that is ever changing due to regulations and policies. As employees we are have audits and they are not consistent, the auditors do not follow the guidebook we have for our rules and other employees don't either, it is made up on the fly and again no consistency."

"From the past 6yrs I haven't experianced anything that I was not comfortable with at Assurant."

"Suggestions for managment is always show empathy as well as motivation to the employees inreturn for great service."

"You won't get the highest salary, but the benefits are good. Most promotions come within."

"Consider why you promote employees, do not just promote due to many years of service."
