ARAMARK Careers & Info

Current CEO: Eric Foss

ARAMARK is a global leader in professional services. CEO Eric Foss prides himself on the achievements of his company including being named as Business Week's "One of the Best Companies in Which to Launch a Career." The company was also lauded in 2010 as one of the world's most ethical companies and in 2011 as one of the world's most admired companies.

Like most businesses, ARAMARK started small. Business owner Davre Davidson started the company in 1936 when he sold peanuts out of the back seat of his car. From those humble roots, the business has grown. Currently, the company has its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ARAMARK employs about 255,000 people in over 22 countries across the world. ARAMARK stock is sold on the New York Stock Exchange too.

Back in the 1930s, Davidson's vision was to put automatic vending machines in offices and factories all across the country. But even then, his ultimate goal was to serve people as well as to put out a great product. This set of core values has continued to influence the business and its corporate culture to this very day. Over the years, ARAMARK vision has expanded and diversified to include manual food service, child care, work uniforms, and other business ventures. Despite the expansion, the diversity of business products and services, and the fact that over 70 years has passed since the company first began, the ARAMARK vision still remains the same.

The ARAMARK vision includes addressing issues to make a difference and improve the lives of clients, customers, and employees. In addition, ARAMARK culture at the corporate level seeks to be a socially responsible community member by encouraging advocacy, environmental responsibility, and community involvement. One of the high points of the company's experiences included providing food service for Olympic athletes during the 1968 Olympic Games held in Mexico.

ARAMARK careers encourage employees to advance professionally while also providing opportunities to help become more socially aware and to respond to needs within the community. Employees just entering the work force or seeking to start a career are also encouraged professionally. By working at ARAMARK, employees will earn and learn at the same time. ARAMARK benefits include knowing that you are creating a better community and a better world while earning a salary.

From the trunk of a car in 1936 to a global corporation, ARAMARK continues to provide jobs, empower communities, and provide great products and services which meet or exceed customer demand.
