"I love the creativity of it. Being able to create is key for an active brain. I love/hate when code is this close from working absolutely perfectly, only due to the anxiety but also the feeling of satisfaction when the code does work."

"It is important that you state accurately your abilities to get the job done."

"I would have liked to have had more day-to-day contact with the manager."

"Mostly, it has been positive until everything started breaking down in 2008."
What do you like about working at Wells Fargo?
"The benefits are mostly good, but they've been scaling them back - some due to legislation but much of it to reduce expenses. They've become more receptive to working from home when necessities arise."
What don't you like about working at Wells Fargo?
"There is too much overhead - too many levels, too many people who have no idea what I do, why or how, trying to interpret change requests. Too often changes aren't passed to the people who need to know what was changed and why, and then trying to pick up the pieces when things break."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust your employees - if you can't, let them go."

"Tough situation. Not so great, but not all bad."
What do you like about working at Wells Fargo?
"I get to work remotely from home. Assignments are challenging. Some co-workers are friendly and helpful."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't assume a cost of living adjustment. Expect roadblocks daily. Get used to panic attacks. You might succeed well if you are a good suck-up."
What don't you like about working at Wells Fargo?
"I dislike the archaic waterfall methodology, and that it is over-managed. There is very little creative freedom, compensation is lacking, processes are horrible, and communication is lacking."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Let developers lead their development tasks, instead of development leads. Managers, learn to recognize and value talent."
