AIL offers several unique programs for working class union members and families, such as strike and lay-off premium waivers which need no pay-back. During an authorized union strike, the company waives insurance premiums for up to one year. During a qualifying lay-off, the company waives insurance premiums for up to three months.

Licensed in 49 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and New Zealand, American Income Life Insurance (AIL) combines with a New York licensed subsidiary, National Income Life Insurance, to serve over 2 million policyholders. AIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Torchmark Corporation (NYSE: TMK), which is an S&P 500 Company, and the company is Better Business Bureau accredited.
