"I've worked for AGInteractive for 8 years. We have multiple locations including offices in Europe. I've been afforded the opportunity to learn and progress my career. You are expected to get the job done, praised for doing so, and management simply doesn't get in the way. “It’s not my job” is definitely not part of the vocabulary along with the absence of over-bearing corporate politics, micro managers, and useless\endless meetings. Simply put, it’s an environment that you can do your job, excel, learn new things, and contribute to strategic initiatives with the least amount of managerial BS\interference."

"Understand social expression market. Be creative and personable. Be willing to learn."

What don't you like about working at American Greetings?

"Some silos still remain. Management could communicate better. Sometimes promotes those without management skills."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Break down silos and remember the little guy who works hard."

"Great company to work for mostly due to the employees. Being Private Equity-owned, there is a push for cost savings to offset a declining industry. Instead of diversifying the portfolio for topline growth with moderate cap-ex, there is chronic fear of failure which handicaps the utilization of their most valuable asset, the creative team."

"I've worked for American Greetings for over 20 years. I have held various positions within the company and overall rank this company very good. Like many corporations it does have it's political side and there are good and bad managers. However, overall it is a good company and I believe it will continue to do well in the future."

"I have been given the opportunity to develop new methodology wherever I can find improvements. I have never been told we have to do things the way they have always been done."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"For the quantitative positions it is essential that you demonstrate competence with the vlookup and pivot table functions in Excel. You will need to work with large databases. Finally, you must be able to present your conclusions to people with non-quantitative backgrounds."

What don't you like about working at American Greetings?

"I would really prefer to work in a nicer location than Cleveland."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would give employees more timely information about significant changes."
