"I have worked for American Express since Jan 2012, and will end my tenure there in Jan 31 2020. Due to new federal ruling in regulatory reporting, my position has been eliminated and reason for my search for new employment. Additionally, I am open to relocation and NC is of primary interest."

"Do your homework on the company and culture. Show enthusiasm. Be prepared to work hard if you are hired...there are high expectations."

What don't you like about working at American Express?

"Sometimes company politics can get in the way; you MUST network to avoid getting lost in the group."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Strive for more innovation; have a more structured mentoring program and dedicate more time to helping people grow and develop."

"I was 'downsized' after 9/11, but would love to go back for the right job opportunity."

"The work was dynamic & diverse, and there are lots of growth opportunities."

"Like many companies, they outsourced a lot of the technical work. Like many big corporations, politics (who you know and not what you know) sometimes got in the way."
