"Alcoa is a great company that really cares about its employees. There is a huge emphasis on safety even if you're only working in the IT departments. The employees are all friendly people and most have been with the company for a long time. I think the longevity of careers there speaks to the excellent atmosphere that Alcoa provides. One hurdle that you have to overcome if you come from a small business is to learn the processes and organization of the company."

"Upper management had their own agenda which was not in line with Corporate. You were rated on how well you did on corporate policy but they would not let you implement the corporate policies and then held that against you. My position, as other process owners, need more say in how their areas were run from supervisors to floor personal."

"The management group lies and misleads their customers in order to avert correcting production issues. I worked as a program engineer at a Mexico site where the plant manager lied to Harley Davidson about run at rate phase. Worst of all he did this while we were in a meeting making us all accomplices in his lie."

When a person comes forward with concerns about how business ethics are substandard, don't look for a way to get rid of this person. It only prolongs the agony for all involved at the site."
