What do you like about working at Alcoa?
"There are lots of good people and lots of interesting work going on. But the company is so lean, there is never any time that is dedicated to people working on teams, it's very common to be on a project by yourself."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This is a very rough environment to work in. Any person not desperate for work should avoid this corporation like the plague."
What don't you like about working at Alcoa?
"Nasty company, nasty management. Spend 95% of my time working on health and safety and cost saving programs. If you wanted someone for that why didn't you just hire another health and safety engineer? No opportunities to advance. Starts with great pay but insulting raises the rest of your career."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have real expectations for employees. To engineer a process or to stay in production you need to invest capitol in to equipment. I can't engineer something out of thin air."
