"I didn't like the fact that the store was divided between the manager and the assistant manager. If you didn't align yourself with one or the other you were in trouble, and if you did you could be fired either way."

"I liked that I was able to get promoted within a year from being a part time cashier to a 2nd assistant within a year and after that I got promoted to warehouse manager, all in 2 years of being there. Your work will not get overlooked if you work hard and prove in an all male environment that women can do what men can do as well, and I proved that"

"Some of the top bosses were very unprofessional and rude to people and sometimes you could not speak your mind about how someone treated you without having consequences"

"Train all workers so they know how to sell the merchandise and do work as well. Don't just give out orders and sit in the office all day."

"Be ready for a very challenging place, 3000 employees turned over in 4 years, managers and supervisors being fired or walking out."

"Not a lot of room for growth, due to union threads the employees tend to be allowed to run the show, turnover very high. managers and supervisors constantly quit."

"Consistency, understanding and a firm hand, also to recognize the needs of all who are part of the team."

"1) The District Manager did not like to take suggestions of ways to better business. Whether good ideas or bad, he didn't like to do anything unless it was his idea. 2) A lot of long hours with sales quotas that were unrealistic."

"Listen to the employee ideas, whether they are good or bad. Be realistic with employees."
