"become more involve with the assistants and what they do"

"Nothing. It is incredibly boring. The only thing that gets me throught the day is my coworker and friend. She hates working here too."

"If you have no interest in healthcare do not work here. There is little opportunity to move up in the ranks because everyone is gunning for those positions."

"Everything. My job is just a paycheck, it has nothing to do with anything I want to do with my life."

"I would have an open door policy, provide much more opportunity for growth"

"Everyone was basically relaxed and easy to work with. The work was interesting and consistent, there was no hovering by managers."

"Be honest and confident. Be friendly, courteous and know your job."

"Too many changes in a short period of time. Employees kept leaving or transfering."

"I would relax a bit more around the employees. Be more approachable."
What do you like about working at Wittenberg University?
"I enjoy putting the puzzle pieces in place. Getting information without all the pieces is my forte. I can usually find the pieces and put them all together. It seems like I have an intuitiveness about the records and can figure it out pretty easily."

"Be careful who you work for. Some will stab you in the back, and some will stab you in the front. Both will hurt you in a heartbeat. (the salary scale is too high. I make 22,000 a year)"
What don't you like about working at Wittenberg University?
"I hate that there are two standards for the same job. There is a standard for those who work to a higher level and the ones who cannot work to that standard. Everyone should be on the same page. The data entry area is where I work and it seems that there is a lot of disparity across campus as to how to enter the data efficiently. There are constant battles for dominance between departments and there is a lot of finger pointing. Management is great at being '30 second managers' but there is no follow through. Interior and exterior customer service is almost unheard of. If you need to talk to someone in IT, you have to know who you want to talk to because the positions there have changed, but no one has sent out notice to the campus about who does what. Some days it is very difficult to work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"First, I would have consistency. There is no consistency at Wittenberg. People of the same pay-grade have widely varying amounts of responsibility and standards. Next, there would be a little less 'professionalism' and a little more 'working in a relaxed environment'. Sometimes just hearing the constant tick tick tick of computer keys is more distracting than a soft playing radio. Finally, there should be a central data processing center to keep consistency in the data entered. There are widely different views on what constitutes clean data across campus and inevitably, the AlumnI Office ends up cleaning up a lot of the information that is extemporaneous."

"Try not to take your work home. Certain things that you see at work are just sad."

"It was difficult to get used to my work surroundings."

"I have nothing no suggestions to offer. I think management did a great job."

"Yes, you must be loyal and fully committed to this Job. If your heart is not in it and your just looking for a pay check you will not last very long."

"The only thing that I do not like about this company is my ability to grow. I have been here for some time and I see my career at a stand still which is not what I want. I want to work for a growing company that I can grow with. Those are my goals."

"Management is fine just too many cheifs which can cause problems."

"I like that there are always great events going on. I also like the nearly palpable energy from the students."

"There are certain departments that are wonderful and certain ones you should avoid like the plague!"
What don't you like about working at University of the Pacific?
"I find the work in this particular department to be unfulfilling. It often feels like we on the same team aren't working for the same goals. The various power struggles within the department make it difficult to advance as a cohesive team. I also don't like the very clear delineation between salaried and unsalaried employees."

"I would collaborate with my group more at every level."

"For the most part everyone is awesome, but there are a few bad apples. Dont let them ruin your day."

"Some people I work with are fusterating and just plain hard to work with. I am also lacking things to do sometimes and it makes the day drag on forever!"

"I would weed through some 'ify' employees, get the crabby ones OUT!"
