"Acxiom is going through some rough times, but senior leadership believes in the core offerings. They are slow to embrace new technologies, methodologies, and tools, so they are going to have a hard time competing in the future."

Acxiom Employee

"I worked for Acxiom for over 9 years, the IT outsourcing division has had minimal investment in training and is slow to embrace emerging technologies. As a consulting and thought leadership division the lack of both of those things ultimately led to client loss. The Marketing division of the company has reached a renaissance period under new leadership from Scott Howe. If you have a choice, the marketing division has some great opportunity. Avoid other divisions as they are outdated"

"Great place to start at entry level. Learned quite a bit and the office environment was very healthy for learning. Only con is that I started a ways under the median pay salary. It is very difficult to get acclimated to the pay scale and to receive raises."

"Current leadership is horrible. Too many layoffs. Bring Charles back!"

What do you like about working at Acxiom?

"At first, business was booming and everyone was excited! Everyone was busy, but the profit sharing was there and the perks were incredible! The salary was nice and the people, including the leadership, were great. The buildings and offices were very nice."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Always have a plan B, layoffs are around the corner."

What don't you like about working at Acxiom?

"When the leadership changed and the way Acxiom did business changed, it became a culture of change for the sake of change. Every time there was a re-org, there was a layoff. In my 13 years at Acxiom I survived about 10 layoffs and 3 re-orgs. When the management and sales teams cant hold on to the accounts, they keep their jobs, but the teams doing the work are forced to find other jobs within the company of face a layoff."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try harder to find new teams for misplaced workforce. When the team I worked for lost the account (Acxiom was underbid), the team members were told to find other jobs within. I found another job with another team and then walked in one day to find that my team members all were re-assigned and again I was left to find another team. I found another team, again, but the work just wasn't there. My new team leader arranged for a phone meeting one day. I was sitting at my desk when I get approached by my team leader (whom I had never met) and he introduced himself and asked if I could meet with him in one of the private conf. rooms. I was getting let go. After 13 years of hard work for this company, they let me go."
