"They have the market cornered because they undercut any other agency hence the lower salary."

"I would suggest interviewing with other agencies first. They have a really bad reputation amongst temporary agencies. Most temps move on to other agencies as I did."

What don't you like about working at Accountemps?

"That you are just like a number to them. Even after contracting for them solely for 4 years, I wasn't treated very well. I ended up switching to another agency who treated me well and paid a lot more. My very first job with the new agency ended up going permanent. The whole 4 yrs. at Accountemps I never did. They also lied about what a temp-to-perm position would make when it went permanent so I wasted 3 months at a client that tried to hire me. We were too far apart on the money so he said he would never use Accountemps again."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To not be so cut throat. Treat people with respect (like human beings) and not cattle."

"It provides a semi-opportunity."

"Ask a ton of questions and if you can get promises they make in writing concerning the position and company you are being placed with."

What don't you like about working at Accountemps?

"They promise you that you will be placed permanent with a company they send you to, they tell you that they work for your interest when they do not, they work for the employer, once you are laid off they forget about you, I was very disappointed in the service I thought I was getting. They only give you the minimum income they can get you to agree to so they keep the difference that they are getting from the employer."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"That there recruiters be more honest on how the company works, and where their loyalty is with the employer, not the individual, and pay a better rate to the employee than they do."

"The work tends to be rather sophisticated compared to many other temp agencies; the skills needed tend to be higher."

"Be persistent; the squeaky wheel gets the grease."

What don't you like about working at Accountemps?

"Too many companies are more focused on permanent hiring, rather than temp hiring, even in the temp market."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If companies are looking for permanent hires, have them recruit in the permanent hire division, even if you have to begin as a temp."

"It's better than most temp companies, however it definitely needs some improvement."

"Use them as a last resort."

"After trying to find me a job, but end up working only temp. I asked for more help and they took the company's side that didn't work out to a perm position and not mine, when the temp co was wrong. Therefore, Accountemps would no longer help me. Even though I was saying yes to anything that they had. Even if I didn't qualify."

"Be more understanding, don't take your employees for granted."
