"The books and billing were so behind, and once we would get close to caught up the Doctor would changes systems or add something new."

"Finish and polish one project before changing and adding new ones."

What do you like about working at Shoshone Silver/Gold Mining?
"While working with the prior board and management, the company had a feeling of family. Everyone encourged each other and provided assistance when ever needed. I do not remember hearing thats not my job. You were treated fairly and felt that someone always had your back."

"Be wary of what is said, evaluate what is said carefully. Have reduce to writing and signed all material understandings."
What don't you like about working at Shoshone Silver/Gold Mining?
"Under the new board of directors and managmeent, there is a feeling that you are left out in the cold. The communication was extremely limited, and even when had, there was a lack of consistency from what was said to what was done or said to others."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"New management needs to be consistent with what is said and actions. Employees need to be respected and then they will respect the management of the company."

"Wish there was voluntary unpaid vacation and flex days. Offices and technology is outdated. Culture is very conservative, hard for young professionals to feel at home."

"I would support staff's career progression goals through their current roles."

"Pay is good even compared to Big 4 accountants. Team setting. Good work-life balance."

"Consider if generous pay is enough to make you join (and stay)."
What don't you like about working at Caterpillar?
"Onboarding was very unstructured and inconsistent, completely depending on who you're lucky enough to have train you. I have enough control of my work freedom, but unfortunately not enough to do! Company operates very decentralized and too much time is spent arguing over intercompany costs. Company is almost too large - inefficient with costs, labor, and adjusting to any change. As much as the company tries to recruit best talent, it is not a good fit for young professionals. Company facilities are almost exclusively located in small towns/cities."

"Give constructive criticism when needed, but not being overly and unnecessarily critical of others especially in front of my staff."

"Working environment is laid back with casual attire, makes it easier to afford clothes."

"They don't pay well or compensate well, they except at least 45 hours plus per week and they are not appreciative of their employees."

"No advancement, family owned franchise very one-sided with family members as employees and attitude toward them when policies are violated."

"Let the management team manage the company with less interference from the family."

"Show that you are here for a career and not just a job. Be a part of the family and strive to grow the company from your position the best way you can."

"Overly bureaucratic at times. Departments within our business group don't communicate enough, such as accounting, sales, marketing, and the various operations."

"Make communication with various sections easier and encouraged, so a change in accounting doesn't adversely affect sales or vice versa."

"I liked the people I worked for and with. The company really knows how to take care of its people."

"Be kind and friendly. Walk the store before your interview."

"I disliked the hours. I do not like working nights and weekends."

"My boss is difficult, by the book, military. They only reward time on the job, not ideas or success."

"It's a career change for me so I am learning about being an accountant and about government work."

"There should be a grand amount of opportunity since just about a third of the workforce is set to retire in the next few years but I feel that there just isn't the drive or the structure to aggressively train/promote people."
What don't you like about working at US Postal Service?
"Politics. I just found out that a newer hire than myself was given a fairly significant project. He is one rank higher but we work as a group. It isn't the first time that I have seen others being selected for tasks. I don't feel that I'm being singled out, but it's hard to say that it's anything I am doing/not doing that is causing me to be looked over when the person in question just started."

"I would start by implementing more structured training within the independent departments. The overall orientation is lacking once you get to your group."

"Enough work. Knowledgable senior staff. Many of the senior will retire in next 5 years. Volunteer opportunity. Very diverse culture."

"It is a great company for entry level position. We can learn lot from multiple system and working in very challenging work opporunity."

"Location, Opportunity, Financial growth, Distribution of work, Office space, Flexibility and IT support."

"Not enough experiance staff for IT support. Improving the IT support can reduce our stress and increase production."
