"I interned at ABB last summer (2013) and loved the environment. All the engineers were friendly and intelligent. They helped me with problems I had and opened my mind to different ways of solving certain problems and algorithms. They helped me become a better Engineer with an open-mind. The employees had excellent work ethic and were more than happy to help me with problems when I asked. They were generous and pushed me to become a better Engineer."

"I have worked for ABB in South Boston, VA for six months. Recently the company has had some complications leading to a lay-off including 113 people. I was included in the lay-off. I do not feel as if I can give an accurate judgement on the company base on the time I have spent with them. However, the pay was fair and I enjoyed working with the people there."

"ABB was a fine company that allowed me to start as a simple line worker still in school, and move up to a desk internship in just one year. The people, connections and experience I made at ABB would prove very valuable as I start my career in the field."

"I work for the Mechanical Division under Baldor Dodge Reliance. This part of the company is struggling for talent as of late, including HR, Management, Engineering, and General machinists/operators. There seem to be some money management issues within our facility in Greenville, SC, But apart from that, I enjoy my job. There is too much nepotism which is amplifying the talent management issues. Due to new Bidding and promotion rules from the current HR manager, Competency and performance are not weighed or acknowledged, creating an upward flow of dysfunction within the facility."

"The company has been going through many changes over the past few years. There is room for growth in several areas, but I'm not sure what the pipeline for the future seems to be. They're great at making their bread and butter, but innovation sometimes is lacking."

"ABB is an engineering technology company with a strong drive towards innovation and sustainability. ABB is strong at supporting individual's career and encourages mobility. ABB is going through a tremendous amount of change at the moment. There is a lot of opportunity, but it is also a bit volatile at the moment. Sometimes there is too much turnover as people leave the company or take new positions. This can disrupt business."
