"I interned at ABB last summer (2013) and loved the environment. All the engineers were friendly and intelligent. They helped me with problems I had and opened my mind to different ways of solving certain problems and algorithms. They helped me become a better Engineer with an open-mind. The employees had excellent work ethic and were more than happy to help me with problems when I asked. They were generous and pushed me to become a better Engineer."

"ABB Totalflow - not good example of ABB division."

What do you like about working at ABB Construction?

"The job was 3 miles from home."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Look somewhere else for a job where the management is more honest, supportive, and present decent wages to cover cost of living."

What don't you like about working at ABB Construction?

"The culture is killing the division. Old timers dictate the rules and change. The company is going nowhere with their products. The division needs new blood with experience to fix the products (hardware and software). The cost of living in Bartlesville was higher than big cities in Texas so the enticement to move there is not good. The other companies in Bartlesville gave higher pay raises and bonuses than ABB Totalflow."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace all of them. They have been there for over 30 years and are stagnating the company. The competitors have products that work and show professionalism in the manufacturing of the products. The customers are agreeing by switching to the Fisher Rock devices. ABB Totalflow did not believe in compensation for overtime invested in projects. Management had a bad practice of stringing contractors along with the promise of converting them to permanent employee status. One employee was held in the contractor status for ove 4 years before converting that person to permanent."
