"If hired to be full-time, then demand full-time hours or contact the labor commissioner. The HR department is useless and doesn't care! Work somewhere else or work out of a private training gym. Until this company changes its treatment of trainers, you will be dealing with all of the above issues mentioned."
What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?
"Management does not listen to the concerns of trainers. They change requirements too often, they violate the wage labor laws for full-time trainers, and they have numerous class action labor violation litigations ongoing. There is high turnover of trainers. The HR department doesn't react to complaints concerning labor law violations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Practice fair labor law, listen to your trainers, and do not micromanage trainers. Training is a service, not a product sales position for supplements! Motivate and encourage longevity, and don't hire too many trainers in any one club."

What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?
"I don't like how the company is changing very fast. The problem with the quick changes is all of the employees are fearful for their jobs. It is a good stepping stone but not a full career. I devoted all of my efforts and did an excellent job. Then the company eliminated my position, and now the company acts like I am nobody. I saved 24 Hour Fitness hundred of thousands of dollars, and I received no thank you or good jobs."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The suggestion would be to keep your talent. Retention of employees is what makes a company desirable and also strong. Some moves made in the first two years were good for the company, but the people asked to leave received no notice and they were left out to dry. I was one who lost their job due to the changes. I have a 1-year-old child and they didn't care about me or my family. I would have stayed with this company if this didn't happen to me. I think they have a lot to learn about employees and how to treat them."
