Assistant Sales Manager

"Great company to work for if advancements were slightly quicker. I would have no reason to leave."

What do you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"I like the flexible schedule, great employees to work with, and the social outlet with various members coming into the club."

What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"Advancement wasn't as quick as I would've liked."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop the draw vs. commission for sales consultants. It makes the difference on being able to save enough money to live comfortably and want to come to work every day."

Facilities Technician

"Disappointed."

What do you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"I liked the freedom of my job type. I was able to set my schedule and I was not micromanaged. Some of the employees were a joy to work with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good luck. The company is run by an investment firm that strips companies down to the bones and sells them at a high profit. Anyone is replaceable."

What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"I was recently laid off and I received a conference call to inform me of this. I had an hour to pack up all of my items and leave. The severance package I received was very poor and it took a month and a half to receive it. I was a peek performer and was laid off due to other managers who had 18 and 15 years of time in the company. From what I hear my position was eliminated and they gave my responsibility to a lead technician. Basically they eliminated us and realized that the responsibility needs to fall onto someone with a junior title."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My suggestion would be to take care of your own!!! I lost my job and my home within two months. Now I am looking for employment and there is nothing. I also have a one-year-old who does not have insurance. I gave everything to this company and I was thrown out like a piece of garbage. I hope they learn their lesson the hard way."

General Sales Manager

"It offers the opportunity for people to make a six figure salary in less time than other places, but has a poor quality of life in the process."

What do you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"The money I make is the best thing about 24 Hour Fitness."

What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"The amount of time you have to spend there is extreme. You most likely will only run into about 10% of the employees who have an education, and other educated people look down on you for working there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I am the manager, but for the executive management, quit changing the compensation plans to save the company money. This company made more when they took better care of their staff."

Kids Room Attendant

"I do not like the way things are run."

What do you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"I like working with the children. They are a joy to be around."

What don't you like about working at 24 Hour Fitness?

"It is very hot, which is a breeding ground for bacteria. The managers do not show enough interest in this part of the gym. The hours are not very good, and the salary is not enough, etc."
