"I've worked at Zappos since 2016. The company is currently undergoing some structural changes due to the COVID19 crisis. Overall Zappos is a culture guided company and it foster an environment in which you can be yourself at your work."

What do you like about working at Zappos?

"The people you get to work with are intelligent, knowledgeable and above all understanding of the tasks and their pitfalls."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Its going to look great on the surface and the people you're going to work with are all going to be really cool...the upper management on the other hand is going to be your typical corporate deal."

What don't you like about working at Zappos?

"The management will promise you they are what makes the company great, only to turn around and make people disappear for whatever reason they arbitrarily make adequate."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Understanding and Compassion, you should look into it. Also, hypocrisy never looks good on anyone, especially you."

"The people on my current team have all become great friends."

"Getting your foot in the door is the hardest part. But if you aren't a team fit, that's more of a problem then lack of skill."

"Losing our culture, which made the company so incredible just a few years ago."

"Not really sure where to begin, or what would make the biggest difference."

"I've had the opportunity to grow at Zappos, I started as a QA intern & in less than 4 years I was made a lead."

"A big part of the interview process is culture fit, you could have all the skills in the world, but if you would not be a fit with the team, you will not be hired."

What don't you like about working at Zappos?

"There has been considerable change since the buy out. The culture is not the highest priority anymore, as I've seen a lot of people become very burnt out."

"They need to take a step back & rethink what they really want Zappos to be."

"I was able to learn everything about the industry and was able to be in charge of my own portfolio. I was able to obtain hands-on experience that is invaluable to my business."

"We were always required to go drink and party even though we were at the office 10 hours per day and have other family priorities."

"I think the management needs to be more fair and recognized people that actually work hard instead of recognizing people who are more social"

"Be as genuine as possible, they are good people readers."

"Personality issues can destroy your career there. If the wrong people dislike you, you're finished, no matter how good you are or how much other employers would value you."

"Grow up. Move from start up mode to corporate mode. Play time is good, but only in moderation."
