"Be prepared to interview with other departments that may have nothing to do with your position"

"Most users seem very entitled and may not understand how larger environments function."

"Be more in touch with subordinates and projects happening in the department"

"I like the hours of employment and the potential that the organization has for growth. I also like the stability of the industry as it relates to my position."

"It really depends on your role within HCHD. I would say most importantly is that if you do not know much in the way of computer use then take the time and learn. It will help you overall and it really helps us."
What don't you like about working at Harris County Hospital District?
"Dealing with the end users is really my biggest gripe about the position I hold at HCHD."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would have the help desk staffed 24x7 and stop expecting the night crew operations team to field end user phone calls as well as perform data center functions"

"working alone on special project lead and the staff being supportive lead roles..."

"be ready and available at all times and give 125% at all times."

"not enough hours poor parking spaces, gap from management to desk support and networking"

"provide a healthy office enviorment and support your staff equally and reep the rewards"
