"I’ve worked for Wellstar for 10+ years. During the COVID pandemic, invested in the health and well-being of team members with additional perks/incentives."
"Great Company to work with and build a career."
"New director destroyed morale, causing record resignations in short time."
"I worked at Wellstar for many years. Terrible culture, a lot of mismanagement. Very high turnover. It’s not what you know - who you know might not help you either. People back stab their co-workers constantly. Only the most diabolical get ahead here. There is zero oversight by leadership, it’s a total free-for-all and career dead end at best."
"Worked for Wellstar for just under a decade. A huge waste of my time. Wellstar does not adhere to its own policies and procedures. As others have stated, there is extreme bullying in this org regardless of department because this is the culture of leadership at Wellstar and how they get what they want. The attitude of department level leaders is appearance is all that matters not what actually goes on so long as senior leadership doesn’t know. Senior leadership doesn’t care or participate. The environment is hostile and abusive. If you escalate wrongdoing or stand up to it, you will be retaliated against. I was never bullied until I worked at Wellstar. Pay is not great. Turnover is absolutely excessive. Their great places to work survey/Forbes top companies to work for is a joke. We are absolutely terrorized if we give the company any 3’s. I will never judge a company based on these types of industry recognitions ever again because they are basically paid for accolades. I notice the good reviews for Wellstar are almost always written in a way that is Wellstar jargon and suspect Wellstar has posted its own good reviews on most of these employer review sites in a likely attempt to appear as something it’s not. As others have stated those working hard and getting the job done are forsaken at Wellstar. Leadership is abusive and incompetent. You have to train your bosses how to do their jobs. The org doesn’t do any fact checking - they go on liars words because these people are silver tongues. The overall climate of this organization is misery and wrongdoing. It is largely huge egos that pretend to care but their care is only to bolster their egos and in support of their corporate positioning at the good workers expense. Beware, working for Wellstar is deflating, demoralizing, and a waste of your career if you are a decent person. The bullies always have support system because they help each other prosper here. It’s as good as selling your soul to the devil."
"I have worked in finance at Wellstar. Great culture and mission, The company is fair and is driven to make all team members successful."
"I work at Urgent Care. We were told that if we got sick with Covid-19 we will not get workers compensation because at work we should have been wearing PPE and we must have caught it on our personal time because they don't know what we are doing outside of work. This company does not care about its employees at all."
"I’ve been with WellStar going on 5 years and the company is a nonprofit organization. The hospitality of the company is great and they offer learning assessments with the company."
"Unethical practices. There is pressure to discharge patients early and they are not always ready to go home, discharge plan is often unsafe. The care coordination department has a high turnover rate. Some physicians moonlight at other hospitals and don't complete their wellstar notes for a couple of days and that is tolerated by leadership. When a concern arises leadership accuses of insubordination therefore no one dares ask questions."
"We are often understaffed. Our manager says that if we are fully staffed nurses would just stand in the corner and gossip. If you are late 5 minutes more than 4 times in 90 days you get in trouble. The problem is often families stop you in the hallway on your way to work to ask you for directions as you are rushing to work. Some doctors are very condescending and even yell at nurses and such behavior is rewarded. It doesn't matter at all how hard you work. Promotion is based on favoritism."
"Very jealous leader. If you are good the leader tries to stop your progress and ruin your career. Micromanagement. Tyrannical directors. No one is interested in improving and the team as a while wants to keep the standard low. Too much favoritism."
"My career history demonstrates my results-oriented approach, in addition to strong communication and project coordination skills. I pride myself on being an organized and dependable IT professional, a collaborative team player, and a creative problem solver. Below are some examples of the assets I can bring to Jobot: Leading project initiation and planning activities to structure the project, including facilitating the definition of project goals, objectives, and scope. Strong background in IT network infrastructure and applications, project management, change management. Manages communications and expectations of clients, sponsors, users, team, contractors and the enterprise while ensuring project adherence to established IT project methodologies and standards, including developing resource plans, risk assessments, project plans, checkpoint reviews, etc."
"I’ve worked for WellStar for 2 years. The company is great. Each professional services the patients well with good spirits and attitudes."
"This is a great place to work. They are hell-bent on providing world-class healthcare to all people they serve."
"I have worked for this company close to 3 years and seen staff come and go in a matter of months as a result of management. Every location operates different, but should consider there mission statement."
