"work productions unreasonable - Internal Audit Department was function following form, opposite of what should be."

"Bank has been sold since I left."

"WaMu was my first experience working on the lending side. I enjoyed my job, but I had taken a pay cut and the office was further from home, so when a better position came closer to home, I took it."

What do you like about working at WaMu?

"It was interesting to see the lending side of it. I had always been the customer, so it was nice to be on the other side for a while."

What don't you like about working at WaMu?

"We would work very hard to get loans cleared to close, only to be told by the closing dept. that closings had been cut off. That was hard for me because I'm very driven and if I'm working hard to get something done and then the next step just isn't there, it doesn't work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"That branch closed down not too long after I left. I had told the Director there that you have to allow closings or you would be closed down and that is ultimately what happened, because they didn't put out the numbers corporate was looking for."

"Specific managers were too concerned with speed rather than customer service. Unreasonable policies concerning errors. Would rather fire seasoned employees for small errors and hire inexperienced new employees who will likely make the same mistakes, only worse."
