After finding success, Mr. Raymond sold his interest in the company to The Limited in 1982. The store continued to expand and become more popular, ultimately becoming the largest American retailer that specializes in lingerie. Today, there are over 1000 outlets throughout the United States and the store continues to earn profit for the parent organization.
