What do you like about working at Verizon Wireless?
"The company gives you more than average pay. The benefits as far as insurance and 401k are honestly second to none."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Show professionalism. It is a high impact, well-compensated job. It is a great experience, and I will carry what I learned everywhere. But you have to walk in like a Wall Street stockbroker. They don't care as much as they want you to believe about customer satisfaction. They want results. Show you can achieve that and have personal goals, and you will do fine in the interview."
What don't you like about working at Verizon Wireless?
"Verizon is the type of company that is very political, but that is anywhere that is competitive. The powers that be want to hear nothing about quality of life. It is truly a grind every day you show up. There is never a time you will hear good job. They are always wanting more, and it leaves you emotionally drained."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I never felt in any way I had support from management as a whole. The few good managers the company has in the area of Southeast Texas are basically piggybacked by higher ranking unqualified managers who take all the credit for the assistant managers who honestly get the job done. So a lot of the GMs and others depend on the lower-paid higher-skilled line level and lower management to carry them, and if questioned will make working there a painful experience."
