"I worked for UTAS over the 2013 summer as an intern. The entire company places engineering at a low priority, below saving money and prolonging product life. There's an incredible lack of innovation and there's not much of a push to create STEM jobs. I've been trying since I left to move into another department in the company, something engineering related, and for months they haven't returned any of my phone calls or emails, even though I got a good performance review."
"Goodrich has treated me excellently with high praises from my direct supervisor, the quality analyst, the quality manager and the supplier quality manager for my excellent work performance"
"Ordering computers, phone or other items needed to do your job takes 10 - 16 weeks. East coast doesn't care about west coast business operations. It appears that west coast is being set up to fail."
"UTC is the most ethical company I have ever worked for. The management is vastly superior to the concerns of the employee's well being. If I had a choice of any company to work for, it would be UTC."
"I have been working in the Aerospace Industry for 31 years. I worked on the Atlas and Centaur Rockets for 30 years and Aircraft for the past year and a half. I have worked various aspects of the manufacturing and production installing critical hardware and final assembly for ULA."
"I've worked at UTC Aerospace Systems since November of 2006 to present. I've enjoyed everything that I have gotten out of it, and enjoyed with everyone that I have previously worked with. The lay off was a corporate action high above our direct management. It was unfortunate but I did not leave with bad ties."
"I have worked for UTC for almost 9 yrs. It's a great place to work there and would of loved to stay working there but work got slow and I was laid off. They treat people with respect and worried about our health all the time."
"Bad management, discriminated against minor, conspiracy of cover up the disability of the R and managements. Good name of company but run by the bad administration department. Low level of education and lack of knowledge but for some reason to be promoted to be a leader with a lot controversy."
"I have been very happy at UTC Aerospace. Great place to work and great coworkers. The job is fun and rewarding."
"I've worked for UTC Aerospace systems for a total of 2 years, since Goodrich merged with the company. UTC is highly rated and very much enforcing high levels of compliance in areas such as EH&S, Finance, etc."
"I've worked for this company for about 2 years. Overall, great employees but business unit leadership needs improvement."
"I worked for UTC Aerospace System for a total of six months to satisfy my second co-op requirement. Working with the Manufacturing Engineering Department was an exciting experience that allowed me to utilize a lot of the knowledge and skills that I had learned in the classroom. It was a pleasure to work with and develop relationships with all of my co-workers, as well as humbling to be part of such a large, technically advanced company that had such a high standard for customer satisfaction."
"The company is currently in turmoil due to a recent buyout by UTC. The final organization has not taken shape yet and upper management is in continual change and final locations of offices in the US and Canada has not been finalized. Employees are constantly worried about the office in Independence Ohio staying open when there is no longer a manufacturing site near by."
"I worked at UTC for 3 years where there wasn't much direction in the group that I was in. Projects seemed to change on a daily basis and new ideas were not met with much enthusiasm. Supervisor was good but he just got pushed around and never really stuck up for what the group was working on. Benefits and pay were good also with flex time available."
