"I'm an assistant at Utah Valley University in the Digital Media Department. Here I've been able to research more about the things that could help other students learn and grow. My supervisor is always encouraging me to ask questions and to stay curious. We have a great atmosphere of collaboration."

"This is a great place to work. The work environment is welcoming and the people are great. Unfortunatley, you will either have too much work or too little work. They havn't yet figured out how to balance work loads but it is a great opportunity."

"I worked for Utah Valley University in the Computer Science Department for nearly a year now and I am impressed by their rigorous curriculum and the benefits that come with assisting students who are a part of it. I have become a better programmer as a result of working with students who are struggling or simply need someone to review with. The faculty are great and I have met many great friends while working here."

"Utah Valley University is a typical government-operated entity. The benefits are great, the pay is standard, and your job position is generally a small piece of a much larger whole. In a staff position at UVU, you were be expected to perform your standard job functions, but you will not get noticed or praised for any "above and beyond" work you do. Often, state laws, university policy, or politics will interfere with any major changes you would like to make to your job assignments. It is an okay job for anyone who is wanted just a standard job."

"I have worked for UVU for 3 years and have worked with some of the best people in my life. The culture is relaxed and fun while also getting a lot of fulfilling work done. Media Services gets to work with new exciting technology which keeps their employees on their toes."

"I've been at UVU for about five years. The pay sucks, morale is low and the benefits have put me in the hole so far that I might have to take on another job to cover my deductibles. HR is about a decade behind in current salary rates (we are at the bottom of the scale as compared with all other state institutions.) And IT is just now getting around to implementing mobile initiatives. I would NOT RECOMMEND working here. They are DEFINITELY NOT AN EMPLOYER OF CHOICE."

"I have worked for Utah Valley University for over 3 years as a full time custodian. While the work is good, the pay is sub-par and the management is abusive. Working here you can expect to spend time laying awake at night licking your emotional wounds. HR will do nothing to help improve the bullying that comes from above."
