"The basic pay that I was getting was low compared to the job and qualifications that I have, but the other benefits that I was getting in the Military made up for it. Every moment random people thank me for my service in the Navy is priceless."

"I am in the United States Navy with 3 sides to my field--COMSEC , IT Sysadmin/Network Admin, and Telecommunications. This is a new organization I have transferred to for pre-retirement. I am a Sysadmin/Netadmin at heart and do feel under utilized, due to the area I work in does not require me to use my Sysadmin/Netadmin experience, but I am learning to adapt."

"The pay in the United States Navy is decent for the work we do sometimes. If we are deployed I think it should be higher because working hours are longer and the stress and workload are a lot more.
