"I relocated my family for this company and in the end they took advantage of me."

What do you like about working at US Foods?

"I began with the company when it was still Rykoff-Sexton and grew over a number of years. I achieved the level of success to finally reach a goal to be offered a position at the corporate office where I had hope to retire from. I moved my family twice for US Foodservice but the move to Maryland was done under deception to me and a number of others at the same time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be careful. Loyalty is not rewarded, it is exploited."

What don't you like about working at US Foods?

"The double standards of upper management. I was encouraged to move my family faster than necessary only to find that I and over a dozen others were encouraged to do this to meet a quota since the company was going to relocate the corporate office and did not disclose the information to those moving their families. The result was 6 weeks after closing on my house, the announcement was made that the corporate office was moving to Chicago. I was stuck and to this day, still am in a market that I would have not chosen had it not been for the position I moved here for. The result is I have never completely recovered financially from this hit."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to employees and be honest with them when they ask straight questions."
