"Run! Horrible management, huge turnover with buyers. This position is not like other purchasing jobs. Someone else confirms pricing and handles logistics, but it's poorly managed. People get promoted to fill a quota who have no experience or because they're a friend of management. The training was a complete joke. The first month on the job was trial-by-fire due to poor training. There's a non-existent culture and they claim cliche phrases like "talk the talk"--but no one will admit they only make money off logistics and not the product they sell. This means trucks they use trucks that cost less but are extremely unreliable, and there are product shortages. This leads to customers running to Sysco or other competitors and it's a vicious cycle. All problems are blamed on the buyer, and buyer managers are the worst I have seen at any job I have held going all the way back to being a teenager. Run; the place is a disorganized mess and you will regret working here."
