"I previously worked for the University of Pittsburgh from 2017 until 2019. The work life balance there was very attainable. At the tail end of my time there, my department was in the process of upgrading their systems to help improve business practices."

Lab Manager

"I've worked for the University of Pittsburgh for 6 months but have been involved with the lab for several years. My lab environment is great, however the systems of academia can make the pace of work very slow. This goes for both publication (I have a paper that has been in revise and resubmit for a year) and navigating various offices at the University. In addition there is no clear path to be promoted or get a raise if you are not faculty."

"It's a basic big business company where it's a very successful company as far as the ledger is concerned and probably great for people in the big corporate jobs. But as far as as entry level there is alot to be desired and could be better as far as the relationship between the management and it's workers."

"I have worked at University of Pittsburgh since 2012 and pursued my PhD in Chemical Engineering. It is great place to work with lot of young people from different backgrounds trying to better their career. Majority of my work has been independent with minimal supervision and collaborating with other groups both within University of Pittsburgh and Non Profit Organizations around the work place location to improve the technologies and life of people in the community. I strongly believe that the direction of project is determined by meticulous study and planning involved in the initial high level design and contract framing which varies from different departments of an organization. The system is built for education and training and it functions superb within that operating regime. I got the opportunity to interact with a wide range of industrial as well as academic individuals and contributed to collaborations using my knowledge and skills from past work experience as well as those inculcated during my PhD Program."
