"I've been studying and working at the University of Maryland, college park in the field of robotics for about a year now; the overall experience at Maryland robotics center was good, and most of it was learning, as I got many opportunities to explore the ideas and worked upon under the guidance of our professors. I would recommend all students join their field of interest and try to contribute to making a difference. The environment was both positive as well as challenging."
"I worked here from August 2018 to April 2019."
"Generally working at UMD as a software engineer is easy and slow past. However, my typical position allows me to involve multiple areas of IT where I can gain dimensional experiences. UMD employee considered a state employee where there is no bonus nor high demand salary."
"Excellent place for computer vision and machine learning research. Great faculty and working environment."
"Excellent environment to work in. I was welcomed by friendly employees and there is always something to learn."
"Great university to study at."
"I have worked with UMMS for 8 years. I find the company to be stuck in bureaucracy that limits the abilities of the IT Dept across all levels. I find the people I have worked with to be competent on most occasions but also see a tendency to promote based on time with the organization over skill sets and demonstrated abilities. I would recommend UMMS as a safe and stable workplace for someone looking to get a start in IT but not and end all be all as they tend to rely on outdated technologies and are slow to change."
"I am a recent college graduate, and have had the privilege of working alongside some of the great professors that University Of Maryland has to offer."
"Great atmosphere and great personnel. Very political arena with slow paced environment. Tough to get work accomplished in timely setting."
"I have worked for University Of Maryland for the last four months. The Help Desk is a very fast paced environment, with very challenging times. It will always keep you on your toes, and very knowledgeable."
"UMES Counseling Department is great environment. It gives me a chance to give back and help students."
