They offer significant flexibility to your research interests, though the research data will often arrive very piecemeal. Not all of the projects will reward heavy coding, or use the most from an algorithms developer, but they are arguably more valuable to biologists by serving the needs of smaller, under-served experiments, rather than the hyper-competitive areas of quantitative genetic sequencing.

4.8 I worked in the Interior Architecture Department at UNCG for 7 months, before school fundings were cut and they were unable to keep me employed, I enjoyed my work, because it was relevant to my interest in computer science and i.t. networking. The supervisor was an easy going person and a flexible manager that was willing to teach and help expand the knowledge that he offered to his assistants. The bureaucracy of the school and independent departments did limit my supervisors ability to expand.

The University of North Carolina is an internationally-renowned institute of higher education based in Chapel Hill. It was the first chartered public university in the country, opening for classes in 1795. The University opened the Women's College in 1931 but became fully coed in 1963. The former Women's College campus is now UNC-Greensboro, one of many consolidated schools across the state that also includes North Carolina State University, Western Carolina University, East Carolina University and many others.
