"Worked in HR during a time when UCSF was growing and HR was shrinking. The workload got unmanageable. We replaced aging HRIS systems with newer software that has somehow increased errors and slowed down our response times. When it was properly staffed it was a great place to work at."
"I've worked for UCSF for 1 year. The workplace is decent, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I haven't been able to come into the office nor meet my coworkers. There is limited opportunity for growth or career advancement, which is one reason I am applying elsewhere. The institution does offer a variety of trainings though, so that is nice."
"Your review should be helpful to people researching companies. Check spelling and punctuation, and avoid excessive capitalization. Avoid identifying people by name, using profanity or hate speech or sharing proprietary info."
"I started my internship at USCF in 2019. My mentor is very helpful and keeps me motivated. I have learned a lot from him. Since I am working on this project by myself under the WAMRI scholarship, this is not very useful for information about compensation or relationships among co-workers."
"Great team and place to work."
"I've loved every moment that I've worked in my current lab -- UCSF is full of incredible scientists and people."
"The hospital has major process improvement challenges."
"UCSF is a public university and my overall experience there is good except the salary is not as good as in industry."
"I have had a great experience working at UCSF. The culture is welcoming and pushes you to improve upon your professional skills. I have learned so much from my work, and my colleagues at UCSF and would recommend it as a great place to work."
"I have worked in the Diabetes Center at UCSF for almost 4 years. My PI is straightforward and encouraging. Overall I think he is an excellent boss that provides the opportunity to research areas that I promising find most interesting and promising."
