"The insecurity of the position. I was promised a long term position and it didn't seem to pan oout for my division of Incode."

"Create a position that the candidate can count on for a career transition if performance is the factor for retention."

"Watch out for the carrot. It usually ends up not leading you anywhere."

"The fact that we are system administrators and deployment experts, but have been added to the level 1 support queue in the phone system, while still working a scheduled task list. Workload has quadrupled with no extra staff."

"Separation of certain task types among the technical support group teams instead of lumping them in for all personnel to handle."

"Low opportunity for growth due to being a small branch of the company. The only opportunity up is moving across country to other divisions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To look at all your employees' workload and be sure the balance is there that one person is not getting overloaded."

"I love my coworkers here in the local office. I also like that I am my own boss as far as managing my time and finding projects."

"If you like to work independently or through a bunch of video conference and like the laid back Texas culture, go for it. Otherwise, don't apply at Tyler!"

What don't you like about working at Tyler Technologies?

"I hate that my boss is remote, and I am the ONLY IT person at this location so I don't have a sense of TEAM. I also don't like all the red tape you have to go through for purchasing or trying to get things to help users do their jobs!"

"LISTEN to employees and don't talk over them! HEAR them out, even though you may have already heard the complaint from someone else! Be compassionate, and make people accuontable for the their actions."

"The variety of work, conversions vary based on legacy systmes."

"Be prepared to be questioned in detail on programming lanuages and current programming software."

What don't you like about working at Tyler Technologies?

"Sheduling of the conversions wasn't based on programmer availability over the years it was based on when the customer wanted to be live so programmers would be overloaded"

"Continue to work on scheduling of the conversions so programmers would not be overloaded."

"Tyler is a stable & growing company that is friendly, laid baick, and challenging. You will feel feel appreciated and recognized since the company is medium sized."

"Be patient, it is worth the wait to get hired. Definitely come prepared to the interview and bring your A game."

What don't you like about working at Tyler Technologies?

"Is a bit conservative on raises at times. I sometimes feel like communication could be better with management within departments."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reward top performers and don't cap out their pay forcing them to go to the next job/pay grade. Or at least let the pay within the quartiles of the job be earned a percent that is deserved and not capped off until the maximum pay is reached."

"Good compensation and salary. Mostly understanding but lack of communication among corporate. Most don't know what the others are doing. Also, provide promises and don't follow through. Corporate makes decisions that make no sense sometimes."
