Thomas Jefferson University is one of the nation's finest medical universities. The small, private school is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school opened in 1824 and was originally named Jefferson Medical College. The school has awarded more than 30,000 medical degrees and is honored to have the most living alumni of any medical school in the country.

Today, there are seven associated colleges, hospitals and research facilities that are now part of Thomas Jefferson University. The school enrolls approximately 2,600 students and treats more than 25,000 inpatients annually.
