"Didn't work there long enough, the company lost a contract and let go employees right away."

"Buy your time eventually they will make the changes but you need patience."

"It was a Employee own company and couldn't really express myself very well."

"Make changes for the better, and don't be so complacent to hold onto the past..."

"The pay and benefits were competitive."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Realize that at a company as big as AT&T, you're a number, not a person."
What don't you like about working at AT&T?
"The company was, I realized later, way too big. Decisions are made by managers across the country who don't get to see or comprehend what is actually happening in day-to-day situations. Also, there was more emphasis placed on the shareholders than on the consumers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Spend more time at the customer level."

"Before the breakup of the Bell system, this was the job to have."
What do you like about working at AT&T?
"Training, the hands on work. I enjoyed installing the systems from the ground up. This included the cabling. I took pride in being a Craftsman, as we were called."
What don't you like about working at AT&T?
"I had no complaints with the job."

"Adequate for pay. Great educational benefits but was not right fit for me."
What do you like about working at United States Air Force?
"Moving to a different base every two to three years was a good growing experience. I also enjoyed the technical job training and learning a skill set I wouldn't have had I not enlisted. Living overseas in Japan was an interesting experience as well."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is an Air Force job. You do not interview for any open positions. So this is not applicable. I would say it is best to remember that being assigned to this squadron is a temporary situation in your Air Force career and to stick it out. You would be reassigned or discharged eventually. I do not know if there is anything that can be done for the squadron short of management changing their way of doing business. And that will probably only happen when the squadron commander changes or is replaced."
What don't you like about working at United States Air Force?
"My current unit is overbearing and overzealous in their rule enforcement. It is time to move on to bigger and better opportunities."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"At my current Air Force unit I would suggest try positive reinforcement instead of so much negative reinforcement. And morale boosting events would be good as well. Change the 6 on 3 off schedule to something less time consuming."

"Pay better on contracts."

"If you are right out of High School with no money to attend a University, this is a great place to get started."
What do you like about working at United States Marine Corps?
"They are a true family environment. They took me in raw without any I.T. know-how whatsoever. While paying me a full salary, they provided me with some quality PC maintenance and troubleshooting training (a 12 week intense course). They then allowed me to go out and do my job with very little supervision."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I'll state this again because without the USMC I don't know where I would be today. If you're like me and come from a large family where the parents don't have the means to put you and all of your siblings through a university then this is great way to get started. The U.S. armed forces will train you and give you some very good basic I.T. skills and after you have honorably completed your services with them, they will provide you with an educational package that will make it much easier for you to attend the university of your choice. Furthermore, because you already have hands on experience in the I.T. field, all of those bits and bytes are going to make a lot more sense while studying at the university."
What don't you like about working at United States Marine Corps?
"This would have to be the pay and the ability to grow. I give the USMC a lot of the credit for where I am today. However, for someone with my goals and ambitions the government's ability to adapt to new technologies just did not meet with my expectations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I.T. is one field where going up the chain of command may not be the best way to manage the immediate needs of the end user."
