"There are too many steps to go through to get things approved and can be taking a liitle longer than expected."

"I think the management can be more effective to priority the projects/things requested from all the employee by allocating more time every quarter."

"I am unemployed, but Verizon was a great company. I worked for Wireline and not Wireless, so the job opportunities have been slipping away more and more each year. Over the last 10 years, Verizon has had a reduction in force twice a year, every year."

"Be prepared for high competition and the woes that accompany it."

"The work environment became job protection instead of team building."

"I would suggest implementing more team building exercises, instead of allowing job protection maneuvers."

"Be aware that you will be, if hired, expected to be available 24x7x365, with little authority to make the right decisions, but have to assume responsibility for the outcome, and be second guessed continuously."

"Management of the company is based on micromanagement and chaotic decisions made in the heat of battle, without clear ownership (but assigning of responsibility and blame should things go wrong)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Consider that because a person may be technically competent, it does not mean that their emotional or human relationship qualities which are needed to be an effective manager are at the same level. Technical excellence does not necessarily (and in many cases doesn't) translate into a good people manager"

"The People I work with are the best. I can always count on them to do what is needed and what is right."

"No Chance for advancement and some of the management decisions have put the company in a bad place."

"Make the hard decisions and remove the people in charge that are causing problems instead of promoting them out of the position."
