"I joined Sysco back in 2009 and I found Sysco Food Service to be a great company to work for, I have learned and added to my skills in sales and marketing, also time management."
"I worked for Sysco for 3 months and 2 weeks and they let me go. I was told that I was not advancing fast enough in my training. It all started down hill when I confronted my DM about not getting enough training from the MA's I work with. One MA told me that I am not allowed to get comfortable with his customers. The MA's are very hostile. The DM I had was a ball face liar."
"A very strong company in the city of Houston. Overall a good company to start a career. The work environment is superb for a new employee to work. If anyone looking for a place to kickstart their career this company has plenty room for one person's growth and exceedingly fitting for one who wants to build their career."
"I have worked with Sysco since 1997. It has been a great place to learn and move up with the company. I have had management education available to me through SIU online and have had many trips to other operating companies for training and development."
"The larger Sysco became the more employees became just a number not a person. If they liked you, great, if not you could be on their chopping block, too much favoritism. Upper management did not want to hear the truth or suggestions."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Run, do not walk away. It is a great first year with customers given to you. Then, the numbers wrap a year later and they want more. If you are a male, no chance. If you are a young female, go for it. Management will feed you for life. Listening skills are not a plus, so if you have an issue, it truly is a you problem. Favoritism should be capitalized. They do not give a s**t about the street level. It's all ABOUT the numbers so they can do their yearly trip and stroke one another. SYSCO rhymes with NO for a reason!"

You will be given all the leads you need to be successful."
