"This company had a very bad reputation as far as employees are concerned. They were known for unfair practices in the past. But as I just said it was past. So when I was offered an opportunity to get back into advertising I was excited. After 2 months into it, a class of 21 people , myself included learned that a merger was coming our way but to not worry. We were hired and there to stay. Not so much. The biggest issue with the company also was still trying to hang onto print, in a Digital Mkt."

"be careful , meatgrinder mentality in the office , if considering employement keep job search going if possible ,"

What don't you like about working at SuperMedia?

"no job security , very tense atmosphere in the chantilly va office managers under a lot of pressure , 95%sales turnover in the five years, always being threaten of being written up"

"there is none,district managers under constant pressure they in a continual hiring mode in the chantilly office"

"Focus on Digital Media Sales and Experience. Any Internet Advertising experience will pe a plus."

"Micro management styles and fear management had about of making decisions."

"implement sales and pricing ideas that make sense for our clients.."

"Be positive, you can make money at this job, but its not as easy as it use to be."

"Compensation package changes often, micro managed, selling a product thats usage has been declining for years with no end in sight (yellow pages)"

"Shift more focus on the perception of the product, be more innovative in online options for customers."

"None, we were downsized and I'm not sure they are still in business."

"I didn't know the company file for bankrupcty before they hired me."

"None, becausr we were downsized and they filed for bankrupcty ."

"This is a national media company and their first main product was the Verizon Phone Directories, I like the fact they keep evolving with the ever changing marketing landscape"

"Cold Calling is probably 50% of your work week so as long as they are comfortable with that they should do fine."

What don't you like about working at SuperMedia?

"Colorado is an Expansion Division, when they dropped the phone directory in this market they drop the number of Reps to 6... I'm worried about the security of the Denver office"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"More Local support - Once the contract is signed have a local liaison to work with the customer to get all needed infomation to complete the order before handing it off to the Dallas fulfillment"

"My manager is the reason why I am still there. She has helped me develop into a more efficent sales rep."

"Take the experience as it will be beneficial not long-term."

"The broken promises & inconsitency. There is a major communication issue, partially due to only part of the sales force being part of a union. Different rules for different areas."

"I would tell them to get on the same page."
