"Senior managers did not micromanage the branch. The success of the branch was purely based on the Ops Manager and Sales Manager working together toward one common goal."

"The hiring process was extremely lengthy and hiring freezes at the corporate location in VA madetmadethe hiring process that much more difficult. Many very important positions had workers hired only through temp agencies."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest evaluating branch location and volume before basing hiring freezes based on corporate location economy."

"I can't say anything bad other than I hate this is only a temp position."

"I would hire and promote a more diverse (work backgrounds and culturally) staff and encourage more free thinking among emplpoyees to solve problems. I would seek employee input to solve problems."

"Different departments operate differently within the bank, so it's a matter of evaluating the situation and make sure that it is right for you."

"Conservative nature and elimiation of many benefits, including some of the pension plans."

"Take a better look at the competition and develop a strategy for bringing their infrastructure to a point where costs can be reduced yet improve efficiency and straight-through processing."

"Unable to make rate decisions for clients as we used to do in the past."

"I would commend my manager for always giving 100% to SunTrust."

"I am an employee that is losing his job due to SunTrust Mortgage sending my job to India. When I ask why, I was told it was due to "cheaper labor". We still have companies out here despite getting a massive tax break, still shipping American jobs to India for cheaper labor. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SUNTRUST BANK OR SUNTRUST MORTGAGE. They are greedy and do not really care about their customers or employees. Is all about their numbers and nothing else."

"Interesting times in the industry and this bank is going through them all."

"Everybody thinks what they do is incredibly speciallized and there is no way a guy working on commercial construction loans could ever understand commercial real estate .... You've got to be able to show exact specific experience."

"Most employees have decades at the firm, really an insular culture."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire more external people - you don't know talent - you've never sen it."

"Great experience but the site was very unprofessional. It was hard working with such people who did not have any disregard for harassment policies and just basically said anything loud for everyone to hear."
