"Reign in costs, improve product quality and ensure your customers are using their solutions in the most cost effective manner. In addition, reduce layers of management"

"Some projects were supported more than others. Some very talented people in a small group had no political clout so they left and founded a very successfull company."

"Pay more attention to technically-advanced but politically unconected groups."

"Career developement opportunities were scarce as company didn't grow for approximately 10 years."

"Management had a good plan early 90s, but later they lost focus and they ran into many non money generating industry buzzwords like open source and so forth. They had the greatest economy but management had no clue to how to make money out of it. They went after wrong priorities and unhealthy competition."
