"I've worked for this company for the past 12 months. The people are great. The industry is difficult to support large projects and there is an incredible amount of market saturation, which makes it difficult to develop consistent personnel. High level of turnover."

"The team is talented the work is challenging and provides a true opportunity to learn, grown and develop your experience and skill set. I couldn't ask for a more passionate group of associates that care about our success but more important about each other. The opportunity to grow is there for the taking with the sky being the limit."

"I have worked for the company for a short period of time. It is a strong company but has some business practices I don’t agree with and communication between the company needs work."

"I really like working for my District Manager. He is fair, level-headed and doesn’t micro-manage. The work hours are great. No evenings and the pay and benefits are good. The big downside is that there are too many upper managers. Not sure they really need all of them. My DM seems pretty capable of handling things with store-level managers."

What do you like about working at Storage Pro?

"Autonoamy was nice. The coworkers do well together. The benefits are not bad."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be very sure you ask for how much you want paid at hiring because your not going to get more once you start unless moving from a small store to a big one and from assistant to a manager."

What don't you like about working at Storage Pro?

"They do not give performance based raises. When asking for a raise they say we will review and let you know in a couple months when the month comes and goes we ask again and are told no raises at this time. It's not due to lack of performance because the main directive is meet budget and all managers are beating budget and the company is more profitable than ever. They belittle people when they make a mistake. The CEO has policies in place that the upper management contradict. If you do as your immediate supervisor says the CEO will get on to you. If you refuse the supervisor because it's against policy your in trouble and the CEO backs the supervisor. Policies are constantly changed at a whim with little or no notice. The operations manual is very outdated yet when asking how to do something they refer you to the operations manual. When you do what it says and it happens to be outdated you get in trouble and they say they told us about the policy change. Turns out it was a verbal change at a meeting before you were hired. They create a bonus program and we get one or two bonus checks then suddenly we get no bonus check when it's due. Ask them what happened to the bonus and they reply what bonus."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Update the policy manual. Do not email a list with every employee and every mistake they made for the month so that the entire company sees it. Stop changing policies verbally. New people do not hear the new policies. Add new policies to ops manual as they are added. Don't belittle people. Especially in front of other. Give a performance review and a raise annually if the person is performing well and offer them a review in 3 months if they did not perfor Well enough for a raise. When offering bonuses don't just end them with no notice. Stop penny pinching your employees. Stop taking away holidays. Stop taking away time off period. We work hard and deserve those days off. We lost holidays and lost time off when switching to pto. Some of us drive several hours to meetings and you pay us minimum wage and a short day of pay when we dedicated 10+ hours for the day for you and we get paid 6 regular and 4 or more in minimum wages."
