"Not a good place for growth. Tough to move up. You are pretty much stuck where you begin unless someone above you quit or gets fired. Pay is somehow average. The company tries to get you way too cheap; so price yourself wisely or you will price yourself out of the job. Culture is toxic and hostile sometimes. Too much gossips and trash talk behind others' backs."

"I loved working with my co-workers. I enjoy the challenges of working in the maintenance field but the Plant Manager it the most difficult person I have ever dealt with. I would start every day thinking this would be my last day. This plant has a high turnover rate. Supervisors have been let go for inappropriate reasons. Upper management are aware of the Plant Manager's rude and unreasonable demeanor and they will not provide resolutions to this manner."

"I really like working with the other staff. They are really a great group of people who care as much about each other as they do about doing a good job and doing it right. I also enjoy that each day I will face new challenges and have to come up with ways to solve them."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I really do not have any good advice for a person wanting to come work at Steris. All that I can really say is that the staff is really great but the management really ties their hands when it comes to getting things done. So I you do not like this type of environment I would stay away. I would not work here the way that it has become."

What don't you like about working at STERIS Isomedix?

"There is no room for advancement and the value of staff is not seen."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Invest in staff training. Shift weak managers into other positions and give people with experience, knowledge and ideas way of using what they know to help improve the process. It would also be helpful to have technical,IT and engineering support on project."
