"The benefits package (i.e. medical, vision, dental, time off), especially the paid state holidays."

"When giving examples, just stick to the facts. Do not try to paint a glorious picture while selling yoourself because the interviewers will not be able to follow along nor will they have appreciation for the example."

What don't you like about working at State of Michigan?

"The cronyism that exists throughout the entire organization. It's definitely not what you know, it's who you know which leads to incompetent people being promoted to leadership positions. That is a quick way to destroy an organization."

"Remove many of the unnecessary barriers created by way too many levels of bureaucracy."

"Best way to make your staff happy is having an understanding manager that communicates with her staff and supports them."

"I like my boss. There is a low stress job."

"Go back to school! Rethink your decission. Make it a summber job while going to school."

"Pay increases stopped over eight years ago. No promotions, pay freezes, and now health insurance preimums have gone up."

"Give employees real incentives. Stop cutting their pay. Stop forcing them to take unpaid days. Stop fighting thier raises once agreed upon."
