3.9I worked at SpaceX for over 6 years and enjoyed the challenge set forth by Elon. In order to excel, you have to commit. The work pace will be nothing like you have ever experienced; you must be adaptable and willing to sacrifice. The rewards are there, but you have to make a name for yourself or you will be lost in a sea of talent. Everyone shares the passion for what they do, and fools are not suffered lightly. Bring your A game, because Elon demands it.
2.5The pay at SpaceX sucks. The moral is always low because management throughout the company all the way to the top does not value employees. They want to be a Google-like campus, but it will never happen here. Most below managemant-level get paid between 18.00 - 21.00 an hour. Turnover is high due to this reason.
4SpaceX is an aerospace company with a strong mission to make humans interplanetary. The culture at SpaceX is progressive, very fast-paced with a predominately younger workforce. The company places a high value on rapidly prototyping and believes that whoever has the best idea wins. Although the workload and responsibilities may be demanding, many employees here find their work to be meaningful and are passionate about the mission.
