"Sony Computer Entertainment is a very good overall company, offering their employees a very good working environment, and opportunities to succeed and advance. I always felt good about my position and standing at Sony, but unfortunately was part of a company wide executive initiative to lay off most all of the people that had been there for numerous years, and I had been there since the beginning, having built the QA department. I would still highly recommend SCEA to anyone."

"PlayStation is a great company to work in. The energy within the corporate walls rivals the energy in the video game industry making it a fun place to work. Additionally, there's a certain pride to work for something that touches the lives of so many consumers and helps shape the cultural landscape on a global scale."

"Every day at PlayStation is a new adventure. It takes a certain level of creativity to be able to judge something as unique as a video game. Working with a team like Sony PlayStation has enabled me to learn that even a multi-billion dollar product can ship with flaws, and it is fixing those flaws that makes a difference in how the product is received."

"Good company but no remote opportunities at all. Good place to work if you don't have to sit through 405 traffic to get to this place."

"I worked for SCEA for a time and while the company was a fun company to work for, and most of my coworkers were wonderful people, my manager made the place hostile and demoralizing. I lasted longer than anyone else who held my position before me, but the company's insistence on keeping terrible managers made it impossible to stay at and grow in."

"I've been here for some time now. There is no real chance to move up. Great for experience. Not recommended for the long term. Their staffing company really destroys the chance to be an actual Sony employee there. Great job to have if you're right out of high school."

"Working at Sony Entertainment in Korea was a valuable experience. My responsibilities were very similar to the principle duties of a QA supervisor. I tested the functionality of software, detected potential issues, translated between multiple languages, and many more. On one hand, I learned how to accomplish each technical task; on the other, I learned how to problem solve and adapted to the work environment."
