What do you like about working at Blinds.com?
"I love the focus on continuous improvement in work and personal life - and the pervasive culture of experimentation without fear of failure. The fact that employees at every level are encouraged to make their own decisions to help our customers be happy and to be constantly trying new things (without fear of backlash if they don't work out) make every day at the office a special experience."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know that this is a company that hires based on positive attitude and williingness to learn. Don't come in with business jargon and a blown up resume - folks want to know you for you. Be sure to do your homework on the company and founders too - details matter big time. Also, we like cake. It wouldn't be the first time that an applicant has brought one in for the team to share, seriously!"
What don't you like about working at Blinds.com?
"There's really not much - as any issues or concerns I've ever had have been addressed immediately. I wish that remote working was a more frequent option, but I'd probably miss the camaraderie."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"As we grow so quickly, please focus on keeping our current culture and vibe as positive and open as it has been!"

"Most of the employees are amazing individuals and the environment is usually exciting and fun."

"Wait until this company has a stronger understanding of what it needs."

"The management is non-existent and decision making is slow. There is no communication. Compensation is slow."

"Management needs to identify with it's employees, including fellow managers, and communicate more...much more."

"Expect a long interview, with the VP and CSR Manager in the same room."

"I dislike the old-school mentality of doing things. Seems like we are stuck in the 90's."

"Get a real phone dialing system that automates email and voice-mails. The current Microsoft Access based CRM is old, clunky and needs to be upgraded to something more modern.,"

"I liked that I was responsible for my own growth and development. I liked getting commission on sales. I liked being able to sell our services to anyone I wanted to."

"I don't recommend it. There are no benefits and they will fire you rather than pay you what is fair."

"I didn't like that there were no benefits, and that I was fired for being successful."

"Treat your employees better and offer some benefits. Treat those who make you money with more respect and dignity."

"I do not like how this company is small in size, the highest management receives a generous salary while not producing work and individuals who do produce are paid very little."

"Distribute funds more evenly among essential resources to work at an optimal level and to the accounts in which they owe money in order not to continually lose business."
