"While the pay and benefits of smith & nephew were acceptable the hours and opportunity for advancement were not. Regardless of what they say, if it only cost them 1 dollar to train their employees they still would not do it. You are trapped where they first put you at what time they have you. Upper management stretches their supervisors so thin that they can barely handle the workload. This creates an atmosphere of hostility and competitiveness where there absolutely should be none as if the whole team were even able to work together it would benefit the whole company. Unfortunately due to a lack of caring about serious issues from upper management, there is no real incentive to work together for one another."

"Bring medical skills set to the table, or don't waste your time applying. They don't hire folks into product development without medical product experience."

"Company culture is disfunctional. High attrition. OPS is disfunctional to an extreme."

"Do a better job researching department specific demographics before relocating offices. Fix company culture disfunctionality (OPS needs a lot of work)."

"It was a smaller company which made it easier to learn about other departments and cross train. Also, I felt like the managers there were approachable. As an intern, I felt like they did value our work and that we were a necessity to the group."

"I feel that your company is very predjudice.When I worked for Peoplemark temp.service,who hired me to work at Smith and Nephew,I truly liked my job,but because of predjudice feelings do to both Peoplemark and Smith and Nephew Iwasn't able to be hired for a job that I had worked as a temp for nine months!Of course the job went to a caucasion,that had no experience at all."

"Too much politics, by the executive. They outsourced my area to India"

"Do not allow personal feeling to prohibit you from steering the company in the direction that is conducive to the success of the company itself."

"The QC Microbiology (my department) manager was well liked and did a good job."

"Limited technical experiences in QC (not many methods were used)."

"Space limitations in the QC departments was limiting the amount of equipment that could be used. QC Chemistry in particular could have benefited from higher technology equipment."
