"My company, as a whole, has been absolutely fantastic!"
What do you like about working at ChildPlus Software?
"The one thing that I do love about my company, is its family-oriented atmosphere. Everyone is friendly with one another and we normally hang out with each other - after work. This is possible since it is still a small company of roughly 40 people. Our President interacts and jokes around with everyone... making it a truly wonderful working environment. As well, I enjoy the people I work with in my dept. I can definitely say with honesty, that I enjoy coming to work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I think my one tip would be: to stay confident. Even if you do not fully know or have experience with the topic at hand, be honest about it but also be willing to learn. I think an open, motivated mind goes a far way."
What don't you like about working at ChildPlus Software?
"The only thing I don't like... is that there aren't any advancement/growth opportunities. Within my dept, Tech Support, my director and I have tried creating internal positions which would allow the other Techs to have a sense of purpose and advancement... but there can only be so many positions; 2 currently. And when people feel that they are stuck, it causes them to feel unmotivated and discouraged. Unfortunately, I now feel that I will not be able to advance into the Development Dept, where I could further my skills as either Database Admin Support or QA Support, or even Network Admin Support. This is not to say that I am not qualified, however. So this is primarily why I am seeking other opportunities that would otherwise allow me to grow - as an individual as well as in my career."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestions would be simple I think... to provide staff/employees with a sense of direction and purpose. Allow them to experience different aspects of their career, which will instill motivation. And micro-management should never have to be implemented."

What do you like about working at Alliance Data?
"Mail Box. When I first started it was a private company. You felt part of it. I enjoyed every aspect of my support position. I feel that I accomplished all my tasks and goals with 100% accuracy and made the company better for it."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Apply only if you have to and make it a short duration."
What don't you like about working at Alliance Data?
"Alliance Data. This was the switch from Private to corp. owned. The theory of management changed. People were put into position not knowing how to run a mailing business. The rules that normally apply to a production environment differ from mfg. Sales personal did not have the expertise to sell the mail piece and make a profit. There is more to selling a mail piece than they would ever understand. I held classes for sales but management did not in-force any of the practices to make the sales process go smoothly. So many errors were repeated over and over again and we ended up loosing money. Bowne, this company is not in favor of out of core business. They came into the company promising the world and it was nothing but a bunch of lies, management knew less than anything about the mail business and made poor decisions that killed the business. I would not work for them for any amount of money."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Change your attitudes you don't know everything, and make better use of your own resources."
