"Automated warehouse design creates a lot of job satisfaction. Seeing a project go through from initial design to the finished and working system is very desirable."

"Technology was leading edge. The development team was outstanding before MCI laid off the profit generating PS team."

"Make sure you understand in detail what the position responsibilities are."

"I enjoyed working for the Advanced Manufacturing Group, however I did not like the politics at the Manufacturing Lab."

"Don't lie when you're recruiting experienced engineers for a position saying that there's work for several years. That's what I was promised and the work I was doing lasted only 8 months."

"I enjoyed the management and the opportunities I had to work on state of the art advancing technology."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you're being offered a position on a contract that has already being awarded and that you're not working contingent upon a program that may or may not be won."
What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?
"I was submitted for my 5 year update on my clearances. I came in with active TS+ a CI Poly but I was never briefed. After 18 months and GD not succeeding in winning two major programs GD was pursuing, I was part of a RIF. This was a very short career opportunity, and I was hoping for more longevity."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be upfront to employees and let them know that the position you have just been offered is contingent upon winning one or more contracts."
What do you like about working at BAE Systems?
"The ability to travel internationally."
What don't you like about working at BAE Systems?
"Getting laid off and BAE not being pro-active in assisting me to get another job."

"It's the easiest job I ever had."

"Be prepared for a full cavity search."
What don't you like about working at Microsoft?
"It is a boring, slow-moving corporate behemoth, drowning in bureaucracy. Barriers to advancement (or even lateral team transfers) are huge. Plus it's in Redmond. Blah."
