What do you like about working at American Megatrends?

"I spent 14 years of my career there. I started in the Server Firmware department as a software engineer and grew to become a Director, mostly because of my technical contributions. I was responsible along with others for creating a groundbreaking server management firmware product and commercialize it. This Linux based firmware ships with all high end servers including those made by Dell, Sun, IBM , NEC, Toshiba and Siemens."

What don't you like about working at American Megatrends?

"14 years can be a long time and the vital energy that existed when the product was new can be lost. I wanted to rediscover those challenges and the enthusiasm of creating a fresh product. Which is one of the reasons I quit in Jun 2010 to join a startup whose founders I knew well."

What do you like about working at Spectrum?

"It is a good company to work for. A lot of things are done right."

What don't you like about working at Spectrum?

"It is a large company, somewhat difficult to push suggestions up lines. Technical and HR support is very good."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Network and systems support are on split management lines. This is sometimes difficult to work around."
